Stop Racial Profiling - Say No to Stop & Frisk

On Tuesday, two young Latino men were arrested while doing outreach to help Chicago residents sign up for health care coverage under the Affordable Care Act.

Days before the March 31st deadline to get coverage, the young men, Kevin and Felipe, were stopped, searched, handcuffed, and arrested by four white officers from the Chicago Police Department and held in jail for several hours- for trying to help community members get health care. They were charged with "Soliciting unlawful business" (§ 10-8-515).

This is a clear act of racial profiling. We demand that the charges be dropped immediately, and that this incident of racial profiling by the Chicago Police Department be investigated.
